Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Designing various parts and assemblies for power unit related systems including cooling, ERS, engine kitting, rig development and ducts. A range of materials and manufacturing techniques used including CNC, DMLS, laminated composite etc. Data analysis from race weekends to diagnose issues and resolve them.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Once up to speed with the various systems, I was thrown into the deep end and no longer felt like I was a placement student but rather a member of the team. I felt I was given a lot of responsibility which was great.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Fantastic. Really exciting and never boring. Everyone loved what they were doing and it was amazing to be part of an F1 team that was improving constantly with exciting future prospects.
