I also carry out general admin tasks on a daily basis, recording near miss/hazards reports, all of the communication boards, ensuring folders are created for new starters as well as managing and tracking the lockers and PPE.

Learnt to navigate some of the HR systems, how to create clock cards and input them on the system/give gate access. How to build relationships and create a community network to benefit all involved.

It is a bit confusing and daunting at first as it doesn't clearly state exactly what needs to be done when or for each review. However, my tutor is there when I need her and has been very helpful in any questions I have and to explain to me.

As much as I need. I can easily book 1-1 meetings with them and ask them for any information i need or to help sign post me in the right direction.

My tutor is always there to answer any questions and helps explain things that I don't understand.

5/5
Gives me a broader knowledge of the HR world and is setting me up for stepping into a people assistant role, which is my goal.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
I have been accepted into the Meat Business Women organisation within our business, this will help to open up my connections within the industry as well as gives me valuable insight into career progression and prospects. I also join upskilling manager sessions, lunch and learn ER sessions, and actively getting involved in the recruitment process.
