Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

On my day to day basis I come in the morning and have a circle time in the morning we then have a focused activity and then free play.We then have snack and go outside.The the children have lunch and sleep and more focused activity’s in the afternoon.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have really enjoyed it and my coaches have been really understanding and helped me through my work and in the nursery work.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learn many new skills and developed a lot more confidence. I now understand how children learn and how messy play and risky play is a great way to explore new things. I learnt how much children get effected by things and how it can completely change the way they act

How well organised/structured is your programme?

They program is structured great as the modules are all under each month so is very easy to find.The deadlines are wrong on the aptem though so it does make it a bit confusing sometimes.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

In the academy they help me a lot as I have adhd they have created me a learning plan wich has helpt me to understand what I may struggle with and how to overcome it when working.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My training provider helps me with my deadlines and always makes an extended deadline line when I need it.They will also send me back the work with feedback if I have missed anything out.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It helps me as before I didn’t know anything about the brain development and effects things can have on children. It helps me to understand where they are coming from and what may be the reason.
