Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I am machining parts every day, and I have to use different equipment and build up tools. Selecting programs and editing programs. I have to study my job pack and make sure the set up is in the right place and speeds are right.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy learning and attending college. It has helped me to improve my role here at Hyde Group.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Yes, as mentioned above I can programme which I couldn't do prior to starting this role. I have got better at clocking in jobs and finding tools, making sure they are the right length.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
I think it is structured well, I am enjoying my time on it and don't have any complaints.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I receive support from my line manager and feel confident asking for help.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I get a lot of help from the teachers when I ask.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
It all ties in together, doing milling at college and doing fitting at college and here. Deburr and machining the other side, so learning at college gives me some basic skills to work on the specialised jobs in the workplace.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
I was able to visit Rolls Royce last year which is one of our customers, that was a really good experience. We also have works do's at the end of the year and races trips in the summer.
