Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I get a job list, I then pick jobs and inspect them and make sure they are good to go. For intermediate jobs I make sure they are ok at the half way stage and for final I make sure they are ready for the customer.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The work is good but college can sometimes be 50/50 due to certain tutors. The 1st year has felt more intimidate as I also attended a Level 2 at the college where i completed similar tasks.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes I have learnt lots of measuring equipment and how to re-work jobs and check online for specs and what tolerances are. I didn't know these things before starting at my job and apprenticeship.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

At work it is very good, we have apprenticeship meetings every month to discuss problems and what new skills they are looking for us to learn.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

As above we have meetings every month to track progress. If I have any issues they are quick to sort them and I have no issues asking them for help.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I have got a new assessor who I will be meeting in the next couple of weeks. If i ever need support on my college work or if i am behind i can pick up that work at work.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel that the 1st year hasn't helped much with my specialised role however the next 2 years will support it a lot more.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We have a works do at the end of the year and plan social events amongst ourselves as well.

Would you recommend Hyde Group to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I feel it is flexible and the managers are helpful and support you when you need it. The people here are helpful and I never feel uncomfortable or out of place,
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Hyde Group?
Don't panic, the job is enjoyable. It is a busy company and they higher more staff to support that rather than overloading the current employees.
