Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

As a data analyst apprentice I am responsible for supporting the business by providing data and insight on our customer account activity, I work on all areas of our data life cycle and build relationships stake holders as well engage in all ceremonies of our agile work flow method.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my programme, it has given me the opportunity to retrain while remaining with my employer where I was already very happy. I would not have been in a position to go back to university so this pathway has given me the opportunity to stretch myself into a whole new career , I feel I have been able to add value to our business while gaining new skills at every stage
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt data languages such as SQL and Python. Data handling practices including storage and maintaining as well as my responsibility under law for correct data management. I have developed my stake holder management skills, presenting and leading meetings. I have learnt the agile project management methodology.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

the structure of the programme is brilliant, I am completed supported and able to balance my work and study well. I have experts to reach out to at every point of my course to support my learning. I have regular check ins with my line manager and training provider coach.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I have been provided a mentor to check in with regularly, our early careers advisor in HR is on hand as well as regulary check ins with my line manager. In addition to this all my colleagues are keen to teach me and support me with both my work and college work.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

regular meeting with my coach and contact time with the course lead. I have access to a virtual assistant for out of hours and my coach and course lead are able to respond to messages from me very timely.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

there are a variety of networks and well as social activates to get involved with. I am involved in the Gender Network and recently helped facilitate a session for International Women's day.

No matter your role everyone plays a part in changing the lives of disabled people by providing access to mobility options that they wouldn't otherwise be able to have. We believe in the work we do and that drives us to do it better every day. There are very few environments where you can work with such caring people, doing something so meaningful, for a SLT that carers about you
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Motability Operations?
Remember to show your passion for what we do and what you want to learn. The technical stuff about your role we can teach, but you have got to really care about the discipline your going into and the mission of our business.
