Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I help assist the Packaging Technologist's with their day to day tasks to help with their works loads to ensure our customers have full attention. I complete the weekly reports for the team and help to keep our office space tidy as we receive a lot of packs each day. I also manage half of our artwork control system, working with another member of the Packaging team, to ensure our artwork reviewing process runs as smoothly as possible.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

My programme related directly to my job role with it being a Business Administrator apprenticeship. I am the administrator for my team so I use my qualification in practice in most of my day to day tasks. IT helped me excel in my role as I was learning about my day to day tasks at work but going into more detail on them when completing my apprenticeship work.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learn about the background of what goes in to creating new products (cosmetic, nutritional, pharma and medical devices) which the usual consumer wouldn't think about when picking a product off the shelves. This was my first office based role so I have developed my skills in time management, organisation and communication within my team and across the business.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme was very well structured with monthly meetings with my trainer and monthly training days at the Peta site. My trainer was always available to help me via email or teams and helped me push myself to ensure my work was the best I had to offer.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My company/team was very supportive of my apprenticeship. They ensured I had enough time to complete each bit of work I received from my trainer and were also there to help when I was struggling with any of my tasks. They didn't overload me with my day to day tasks which allowed me to put my focus on my apprenticeship tasks when I was completing them.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My training provider was always available to support me through my tasks and EPA. They set up monthly calls with me so we could go over my work together and were easily reachable via email or teams in the meantime, so if I was struggling I could reach out for some extra help.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I think completing my apprenticeship at the beginning of my first office role helped me excel in the environment as it took me through the different areas I could come across in my day to day work. It made me feel more comfortable when taking on tasks/projects which showed my manager and team that I was ready to take on more to help my team as much as I could.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We have a events committee which helps arrange different activities, sports days out, parties, bake sales and much more to help show the staff how much we appreciate the work they put into the business each day.
