Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I manage Hygiene Team on site and ensure that they have the right tools and skills to efficiently support operational needs. I also manage our catering team and support them in providing a great level of service whilst managing cost and reducing food waste.

I really enjoy it, especially the face to face college sessions.

Yes, it has been good to learn about different approaches and tools that I can use to support the team development, build better and stronger relationships and improve overall performance of the team.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

College sessions are well structured and they provide an opportunity for open discussions and direct interactions with a teacher. The apprenticeship part of the program is good, however as it is now delivered online, it doesn't offer the same experience as the college.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

I have a great support from the business and management team.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I get a great support from the college teacher as this is what I'm currently focusing on. I also get a good support from the apprenticeship side however this is more based on reviews rather than actual learning.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Learning about new techniques, how to implement them and understanding the impact they may have on improving the overall performance of the team is very valuable and it helps me become a better leader.
