Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

To ensure the smooth run of the manufacturing department, ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to at all times and that every product is manufactured right first time. Interact with the different teams to resolve any issues that arise on a as needed basis as well as escalating any external issues through the right channels.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Even though it can be extremely time consuming, I am thoroughly enjoying the programme and its content. The diploma side of things can be quite demanding, however, the apprenticeship can be a bit lighter and what I enjoy the most about it is that I can write about a lot that I already do at work and guaranteed it will cover some units.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

If there is one thing I can say I have definitely learned to do better it managing projects. I used to be very straight forward with it and not take much notice of the team around me; I have learnt that the teams input is very valuable and that their buy-in is one of the main drivers for success.

It is well organised. We never waste any time looking for content or unsure on what to do.

My employer is very supportive and has always allowed me the time to attend college and complete my college work.

My training provider is excellent in supporting when I am unsure of something.

A lot better. The content of the qualification really does resonate with my job title so everything that I am learning makes sense.
