I am an optical assistant providing customer service and learning about optics on a day-to-day basis.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Really enjoying it, learning so much and enjoying the job role, the maths and English part is a little frustrating however i feel like me passing my English was a good reward for the hard work.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

So many different new skills and so much knowledge has been learnt over the last 9 or so months, it has been a brilliant journey I have loved every minute.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very well organised, are amazing helping me through everything, when i have struggled there has always been someone who would help me.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

It is really helpful how everybody is ready to help whether my tutors or colleagues helping me with coursework or helping me when needing a little extra time.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My job role is so much easier after the learning I have been completing, it helps me on a day to day basis with customer interactions and just a basis of knowledge which is so helpful.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes this is the only job which I have experienced these sort of social activities, with a fun committee which organises monthly activities such as bowling or laser tag, and then a Friday club which on payday Fridays most people will go and have a few drinks at there local pub.
