As an accounting technician it is my duty to provide financial information in order to meet the sec 151 officers demands. This as a council allows us to continue to set a balance budget every year and continue to provide services to the borough. My daily tasks involve budget monitoring, forecasting, and raising invoices and purchase orders

Although I'm only half way into my programme here with Barnsley council, my experience so far has been very positive and thus I enjoy it very much and would highly recommend it to anyone considering a career in accounting.
