Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
My core duties include preparing and analysing financial reports, budgeting, forecasting, and conducting balance sheet reconciliations. I also provide strategic advice to senior management, offering cost-saving solutions to maximise profitability.
I have implemented robust financial processes across the site to strengthen controls and improve operational efficiency. Additionally, I manage key stakeholder relationships, engaging with both internal and external stakeholders. This involves chairing meetings, delivering comprehensive financial reports, and presenting long-term strategic plans for the business.
An example of this is my regular presentation of weekly and monthly accounts to key personnel for various clients, ensuring transparency, informed decision-making, and alignment with business objectives.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
I also appreciated the structure and the support from mentors and peers, which created a collaborative and encouraging learning environment. Overall, the programme not only helped me develop professionally but also sparked a genuine interest in data and its impact across different industries.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
I’ve also enhanced my understanding of data storytelling and how to present insights in a clear and impactful way. Additionally, I’ve built on my problem-solving and critical thinking skills by working on real-world data projects, collaborating with others, and applying analytical techniques to drive data-informed decisions.
Overall, the programme has significantly boosted both my technical and analytical capabilities, giving me more confidence in handling data-related tasks.

How well organised/structured is your programme?
I also found the balance between theory and practical application to be well thought out. The structure ensured that I could immediately apply new concepts to hands-on projects, which reinforced my understanding. Regular assessments and feedback checkpoints helped me stay on track and identify areas for improvement.

How much support do you receive from your employer?
My manager and team were encouraging and showed genuine interest in my progress, which helped keep me motivated. Overall, the support from my employer played a significant role in helping me successfully complete the programme.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
The learning resources were comprehensive and accessible, and the support team was responsive whenever I faced technical issues or needed guidance on the coursework. This consistent support made a big difference in my learning journey and contributed greatly to my overall success in the programme.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
It gave me a deeper understanding of data concepts and tools, which improved both the quality and efficiency of my work. I also became more confident in tackling complex problems and communicating insights to stakeholders. Overall, the qualification not only enhanced my technical skills but also helped me contribute more effectively to my team and organisation.

There are also professional networking events and internal knowledge-sharing sessions that allow me to connect with others across departments and stay updated on industry trends.
