Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Involvement from the start of manufacturing projects, monitoring current stock levels and purchasing specifically what is required for the job. Gathering quotations, raising PO's, managing supplier relationships, constantly looking for added value sources or ways to continuously improve. Also, general day to day operational expenditure. Assisting with queries and working closely with production, stores, directors and the drawing office to keep everything going smoothly.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I'm enjoying learning. I had been out of education for a few years and it feels great to be growing on the job and applying what I learn.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Developed my interpersonal skills, key for constant liaising with suppliers and stakeholders. Learnt SAP skills and general skills required to raise orders, negotiate prices occasionally, organisation, timekeeping.

Clearly laid out structure, though it is flexible in when certain assignments/learning can be done at times, which is great.

Excellent level, they accommodate for your needs very well. Offers of further 1 on 1 learning prior to exams if needed.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Definitely, I feel more of a procurement professional now than I did when starting. I was doing my best but had no real idea of the sector and my role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We meet up on occasion socially. Potential charity football tournament being planned. I planned a successful secret santa this year.
