Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
We have two placements on the course, i am in my first one, my day to day is catching up on admin, going to see service users, creating ecomaps and chronologies, having meetings around the child with other professionals involved in their life.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy it a great deal, my mind is being challenged and I personally enjoy pushing myself to learn more, do more and get out of my comfort zone to develop myself and achieve more.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt confidence in myself and my knowledge of theory and psychology around social work. I have also understood more of the society we live in and how it is and was created.
I have learnt how to build a rapport with teenagers and gained experience working with children and young people.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
It could be improved, but I understand we are the first cohort of the masters program so I expect teething problems.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
A great deal. They are there when I need and are very understanding when i am unwell or have personal matters to attend to.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
A huge amount, especially from student support, they have given me so much time and energy its quite overwhelming really.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
A lot, i feel the theory we learn fully informs practise, although there are the realities of the work life to deal with, it makes one think more about the role we are doing.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Not personally as I have not got much time to do extra activities with a partner and life being very busy.
