Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Norfolk County Council to a friend?
No
Why?
Although the terms and conditions and the option to work flexibly are advantageous there is a lack of succession planning and talent management in my experience for those completing qualifications. There is also a varied approach taken by managers to career development which is not helpful for individuals wanting to progress.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Norfolk County Council?
Consider the level of the role that you are applying for and be prepared that you may not be able to progress further in the organisation if you want to move into middle and higher management roles.
