As a Category Management Apprentice in the Professional Products Division (PPD) focused on Selective Retail, my role offers a broad range of experience within the commercial side of the business, specifically working with Boots. I am primarily involved in managing new product launches for this key retail partner, ensuring seamless execution in-store. This involves close collaboration with various teams, from marketing and sales to supply chain and the Boots team.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I thoroughly enjoy my LOréal apprenticeship! The hands-on experience managing premium hair care launches at Boots is incredibly rewarding. I love the fast-paced retail environment and the opportunity to directly impact product performance. Using tools like IWD and Excel is challenging but fulfilling, and the collaborative culture at LOréal makes it a truly positive learning experience.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

My apprenticeship focuses on premium hair care at Boots. I have honed my project management skills launching new products, mastering planograms with IWD software, and analyzing sales data using Excel. Collaborating with Boots improved my communication and client management skills, resulting in successful product placements and increased visibility. This experience provided invaluable insights into the fast-paced beauty retail world.
