Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at L'Oreal?
I love working at L'Oréal! No day is the same and I love that. You get to be creative, entrepreneurial and work amongst some of the most inspiring experts in the beauty industry. L'Oréal has a very people first culture and I love that people are at the heart of everything they do - it makes it such a special place to work. As a Management Trainee, one day I will get to go to an event, the next day I'll be launching a billboard and then the next I'll be in hands on training.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Something I love about the Management Trainee Programme is that every six months you rotate into a new role. This means that I am able to learn and experience the 360 business of L'Oréal ahead of going into an operational role. Some highlights include managing multiple media campaigns, leading brand events, interviewing consumers and being part of the organisation of multiple TikTok Shop Lives.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?
5/5
My team at L'Oréal encourage me to push outside of my comfort zone every day. I am trusted to lead projects, present to internal and external stakeholders and be part of some of the most strategic conversations in the business.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?
5/5
I love the perks at L'Oréal - this includes profit share, discounted products, pension contribution and everyday health benefits
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?
5/5
Being part of a rotational programme is an amazing start for my future career. I'm able to apply multi-functional skills to each role and really understand the wider business at L'Oréal which is critical for career progression
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?
5/5
I am outside of my comfort zone everyday which means I do not leave the office without learning something new! L'Oréal are amazing at playing to your strengths but also giving you the space and time to improve your development areas too.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend L'Oreal to a friend?
Yes
Why?
L'Oréal is a great place to start your career. They value Early Careers talent, the training and the day to day support you receive is immense and I'm really excited to continue my career here.
How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?
5/5
When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to L'Oreal?
I was an internal hire from the Degree Apprenticeship Programme but it was a great process. The onboarding process is amazing, you receive a full induction to help settle you into the business. Advice I would give is be yourself, that's what L'Oréal want and I couldn't be prouder to work for a company that values this. Don't be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone and give 100%.
