Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I support a team of project managers, this involves doing monthly reports, managing smaller tasks in the project and providing adhoc support.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, I frequently participate in meetings with the clients and have been responsible for creating processes for tasks within the project, that have a meaningful impact on the overall project.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

A lot of support and guidance as I reached out to my early professional manager. Additionally, I received a lot of career advice from my task manager. I also have two mentors that I speak to on a monthly basis who can advise me on such matters.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

lots of client events and social activities to get involved in, everyone is generally really welcoming and encourage you to learn lots whilst at the company. office atmosphere is not too formal either which is nice.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I enjoyed it a lot, I have made a few really good friends and have also gained insight into the types of opportunities available in the tech industry. I will definitely consider coming back to IBM in the future. I particularly enjoyed going into the office and working with other interns.
