Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I work on a Sales Team in an Engineering Group, my day to day involves, booking in RFQs. Attending KPI meetings to make sure the team is on track. Printing off daily reports and SAP reports. Sending validity date emails to customers.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy this apprenticeship as it is very different than my previous roles, it can be challenging. I enjoy working in a team environment and learning new skills.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes I have learnt how to use SAP, Salesforce (Sales Platform). I have developed knowledge in communication and Microsoft Office.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

I attend college once a week and we work on our essays to gain a better understanding of skills, behaviour and knowledge of my apprenticeship. My colleague who has now completed his apprenticeship also went down this path and I feel it works well that I do the same.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive endless amounts of support from my line manager, whenever I need help she is always on hand. She checks on me every morning to check I am ok with my daily workload. I couldn't ask for a more helpful team.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

As mentioned, I attend college 1 day a week. My tutor is always there to assist with any issues or questions I have.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I have a better understanding of my company and the knowledge behind it. It helps me daily with my workload and my confidence to speak with colleagues.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

The office hold target events, for example, if we hit our 6 month target we are rewarded with a trip to the races. They also hold social events outside of work and Christmas Parties.

Would you recommend Hyde Group to a friend?
Yes
Why?
The group is very large and has a number of great companies. I know a few people who work here and they also really enjoy it. The progression is very good. The majority of our site directors have joined as apprentices and worked their way up.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Hyde Group?
I would advise that they research the company first, it shows effort has been made and they have a genuine interest in the company. They should prepare for all kinds of interview questions.
