My main role is winning new business for Lockton. This includes reaching out to businesses to build and develop relationships through meetings and calls.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

It was a very enjoyable programme, as i had a fantastic tutor who gave me support throughout, and i enjoyed the content i had to complete.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have built up confidence through speaking to new people and attending networking events on my own. I've also built up my technical insurance knowledge and the ability to adapt in a corporate environment.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very well structure, we had regular scheduled catch-ups and structured deadlines.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Lots of support from all areas of the business if i was to need it.

Continuous support from the training provider, they were always there with any queries i had.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It has helped me understand the sales cycle in more detail, so when I'm at the stage where I'm doing this on my own, i have the knowledge and understanding to do this thoroughly.

There are many networking events that we host as well as attend, as well as social charity activities and regular casual activities after work.

Why?
Lockton has been a fantastic place to begin my professional career. the apprenticeship programme has been really well put together, offering so much support throughout. They also factored in the apprenticeship the entire time to not overwhelm you with work and create a good balance.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Lockton?
Definitely give it a go. There are so many different areas within Lockton you wouldn't be aware of, so whatever you are interested in, there's a very high chance Lockton has a division you can work in.
