Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am a software engineer. I maintain and further develop the vast online software. I code in C#, Javascript, html, css, VB, xaml and razor.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my program because it provides a low stress environment to hone my skills and learn new things as well as further developing me as a professional. Furthermore, I have earn on the job allowing me to worry less about finances and more about planning my future and developing skills

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt how to develop in:
C#, Javascript, CSS, html, Blazor and Razor. Other skills I have developed are software architecture agile development. General network design and cyber security.

Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

My program is relatively well structured both within the workplace and at university with a clear path being planned. University gives me a way to formally learn many techniques that are used as well as a broader understanding of the subject as a whole. Work provides me opportunity to hone those skills.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I have regular check ins with my manager along with APRS from my university assigned tutor. The benefit of this is I can dictate the contents of my apprenticeship and what things I learn or projects I can take place in.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
My training provider gives me detailed plans of how to conform to the specification and achieve the best possible grades. Furthermore, they encourage students to contact lecturers about assignments and contents in order to arrange further learning.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification has taught me the initial content to get started in my job which has given me the platform to learn about each topic more in depth within my own time. However a lot of what is taught is necessary to begin the apprenticeship anyways.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

They are access to certain social activities such as Christmas parties. However there is less emphasis on professional networking events and sports teams.

Yes
Why?
The ability to learn and earn in a relaxed environment surrounded by friendly and encouraging individuals is good no matter how you look at it. Coming in with the right mindset you can very easily get a lot out of the apprenticeship.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Klipboard?
Be prepared to be overwhelmed with the amount of things to learn and adapt to if you do get in however this is by far the hardest part of the job. When applying be yourself but put your best foot forward and show off who you are as a person and a professional.
