Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role consists of demonstrating our system to potentially new customers, working with suppliers to get price files importing for customers and assisting any general enquiries our customers have.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I think the programme is engaging and has helped me become more confident in my Customer Service role. I have enjoyed completing my assignments and had good support from my tutor.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed stronger communication skills, as the programme has taught me different ways to communicate with customers and why this can be useful to adapt depending on the customer. I have developed my problem-solving skills as well as there have been many customer issues that I have been unsure of at the time but have either managed to find a solution independently or asked the relevant staff member if it does need to be escalated.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

I think the support is good form my employer my manager is always checking in on how I am getting on and other members of staff are keen to make sure I am getting enough time to complete my apprenticeship assignments.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I have a meeting once a month on the assignment for the upcoming month, my tutor will go through a powerpoint with me and explain the briefing I have as well as any digital learning & activity sheets. I have found it clear what is expected of me for every month and my tutor has always replied quickly to me if I have had any questions.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I think I have learnt a lot more about my organisation from the training e.g business structures and plans. I have learnt to reflect on situations and sometimes think how I could have handled a situation better. I am able to communicate with customers more in a professional way and ensure I am meeting the requirements of the business.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We go for a lunch time work everyday in our office which is nice to get some fresh air and take a break from the office. We sometimes talk unrelated to work which is nice to see what people are getting up to on the weekend etc.

Why?

Everybody has been really welcoming at Klipboard since I started and ensured I have everything I need to be successful at work. The foundations programme is really nice to meet others in different offices and engage with them over teams. I also think when you have a question on anything the response from different departments is very efficient.
