Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I have a list of business partners, who I manage from a data products perspective. I assist them in selling IBM products to customers.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I very much enjoy doing an apprenticeship and love the aspect of working whilst studying. I have made friends through both work and university and feel there is a lot of support available to me.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt many skills, especially client facing skills. I have grown my confidence majorly, and feel I can have a conversation with a client and mitigate any conflicts. I have better team skills and time management skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
From an IBM perspective I feel it has been very organized, with lots of support available to me. I have sometimes struggled to say the same thing about university and have not always found the organisation to be good.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive so much support from my employer. I have 2 managers (one from apprenticeship and one from day to day), I have a mentor and so many other people around me to go to for support, particularly to do with my apprenticeship.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
We have an amazing programme leader, who has made this experience as easy as it possibly could be, given some circumstances. I have also found student services to be very caring and helpful. There have however been other lecturers etc who have not been the most useful and supportive.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
A lot of it is linked, so it is easy to make comparisons between the 2. However, I definitely feel I do the most learning at work and that in turn supports my uni, not the other way round.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes, there are many communities to get involved in at work, including wellbeing, sports, book, more work related ones and many more. They are a bit like university societies, but at work and will often involve socials.
