Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

A day to bay basis of my rile involves installing and configuring applications that we receive from contractors as well as web pages. I take part in many meetings with the client and the IBM team. I also have one day a week where I carry out my university learning.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my apprenticeship as it allows me to learn new things whilst also expanding my current skills and knowledge.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt how to use AWS for virtual machines as well as how to code in ansible which is a language that I use on a regular basis in my project. I have also learnt how to properly communicate with my clients and team members.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme is very well structured with 4 days a week working on my project and 1 day working on my University course. This is well organised between my PMs and my university managers.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive lots of support from my employer with anything that I need, for example I can receive support with my current project by asking to be put on training programs that will help me understand different aspects of my role.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive lots of support from my training provider with mandatory calls every few months to check on my progress as well as being able to ask them anything about the course or unrelated topics.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel that my qualification really helps me perform better in my role as I can use the resources provided to increase my knowledge and skills whilst learning at the same time.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes there are many extra-curricular activities to get involved in, including clubs, sports groups, gym sessions, social events, apprentice exclusive events and many more.

Don't give up when applying, there are many stages and some are more difficult than others. Make sure you stand out from the other candidates with a wide range of experiences.
