Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Working hybrid role in a mix of Terraform & AWS DevOps. Typical day consists of going into office, daily standup, picking up work tickets on Jira, working on Azure DevOps, writing, testing and pushing code into working branches, running pipelines into different environments and deploying to production after testing while documenting progression.

Work is well laid out with training provided by the company for 4 days, then one day dedicated to university for the degree part of the apprenticeship. University and work go hand in hand.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Managers are around to help as well as important work contacts. Colleagues are very helpful, more than willing to guide you through and get up to scratch.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

As mentioned earlier, IBM provides lots of training resources for employees to upskill on their learning platform with lots of accredited courses.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Lots of relevant knowledge and skills from learning is used in the role which acts as reinforcement for learned material.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Plenty of Business Resource Groups (BRGs) which is IBM's equivalent for clubs & social events, both professional and casual.
