To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The supportive work culture, where people are always willing to help regardless of seniority, has had a positive impact on my experience. When engaged in projects that align with my interests and the workload is well-balanced, I have found the experience to be particularly fulfilling.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Even during periods of lighter workloads, I have gained valuable skills in navigating corporate life and have leveraged the vast upskilling resources available. Through my roles, I have had the opportunity to acquire new skills, broaden my knowledge in different areas, and further develop my existing abilities.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The program is well-structured with regular reviews from both the employer and university. The balance of one university day and four working days is effective. However, finding roles is largely self-driven, which can be challenging. Despite this, mentorship and feedback opportunities support development and growth.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer provides valuable support through regular reviews with my foundation manager and access to extensive learning resources. Guidance is readily available for professional development, though finding new roles requires personal initiative. The supportive culture and mentorship opportunities help me navigate challenges and grow within the company.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive strong support from my training provider, with four reviews a year to track progress toward KSB targets. These reviews allow for mutual feedback between my employer and the university. Lecturers are always willing to assist both during and outside of lectures, ensuring continuous progress.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The qualification provides useful knowledge, but due to the varied nature of my role, some modules don't always align directly with my day-to-day tasks.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are lots of extracurricular activities, with a variety of groups to join. There are numerous social networking events, including ones for the entire office as well as events tailored specifically for early professionals.

Why?
I would recommend IBM as a company to work for, as it offers a great work environment and plenty of opportunities for growth. However, it's important to know that it may not be very easy to move around and gain experience in every area you would like.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to IBM?
Before applying, make sure to research IBM thoroughly to determine if it's the right fit for you. This will also help you tailor your application specifically to the company. Additionally, networking with people currently on the course can provide valuable insights and advice.
