Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I work on maintaining factory equipment, compressors, machines extraction units. Servicing, completing PM tasks, attending and fixing breakdowns and replacement of merchanical parts.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I always give 110% into my program which then allows me to achieve more than I could have imagined within my role and progression. I really enioy learing and attending college.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have been sent on many courses to enhance my skills within my job role. I am happy with the investment Specsavers have made in me.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The program is well structured overall but always room for improvements.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer has been supportive of my course allowing me to study remotely one day a week to gave sole focus in completing my course work and assignments. Which I think is fantastic!
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My course has had some staff teething issues with teaching and staffing. Despite this there are people always a network of people avaliable to support within my college if any issues arise.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I believe this course should be mandatory to anyone within the role. It has gave me massive amounts of knowledge and skills nit only to use in my role but for everyday life skills.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Specsavers are great with themed days and networking. They do voluntary work in the community and attened schools. I have been apart of all of these events as I am passionate about helping, and growing. Networking enhances relationships and my apprenticeship overall.
