Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Helping all parts of the store, selling, fitting and adjusting glasses and performing diagnostic tests for the optometrists.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

To some extent, I felt the programme was slightly too long. It was 18 months but i felt ready to finish several months early.

I feel even colleagues that are not apprentices get a lot of support and extra training. Having study time helped me understand the theory behind the practice though.

Would you recommend Specsavers to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Because they are very friendly and help you develop your skills. I had not had a job prior to the apprenticeship and they made the transition easy
