I am a software engineer who has several responsibilities on a daily basis, including deployments, software development, learning and much more.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoyed my programme, the structure, the content, and the opportunities were all fantastic.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt and developed more skills throughout my apprenticeship than I can count. I have constantly been learning, improving and honing my existing skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

It was really well organised, I significantly enjoyed the one day a week at university, as it still allowed me to feel as though I was working fulltime whilst also learning once a week,

How much support do you receive from your employer?

I have received incredible support from both my task manager and line manager, who both stood by me every step of the way, offering advice, time and knowledge.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I mainly had to do the qualifications on my own, with only 2 people from the university making the effort to help us as students. Kim and Claire were the only two staff members that you could tell really cared about how well we did.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification helps me perform a lot better in my role, with increased knowledge, skills, I often find myself applying skills I learnt in my qualification.
