Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

When on a project I will typically start with a daily stand up, then go on to carry out tickets. These could cover anything from deploying to infrastructure to maintaining existing applications. When I am not on a project I will e completing self study in a range of subjects.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my program and I have owned it since starting. Beginning this apprenticeship has been the best career decision of my life. I have learned new skills, made valuable contributions and have mentors to help me on my way.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt a lot of new skills and I have been able to apply them in my work. I have gained certificates in AWS, Azure & IBM Cloud and I have completed training in other subjects such as Red Hat OpenShift, AI, Machine Learning, scripting, cloud security and Terraform.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

Everything has been laid out in a clear and easy to understand way from the very start. The written portfolio, residential training and assessment methods were explained from the start and throughout the program.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

There is a lot of support available while on the program. Support is available from the apprenticeship provider and my employer.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The residential training prepares us for any exams and certificates we a re to gain. There are also pre-course resources for us to access and mock exams can be prepared as well.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel that the SDLC & DevOps courses were very similar and one could be removed and replaced with something such as Terraform or bash scripting, this would improve the relevance, The qualifications are however relevant and have improved my understanding of DevOPs and it's application within my role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

At my work, there are networking events, after work activities, social events and giveback/charity events you can join.
