Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role consists of bringing AI solutions to first responses, specifically, the NHS app. Interactions consist of virtual and physical meetings, ensuring all stakeholders share the same goal. Responsibilities consist of applying my KSB's from University into my everyday role, communicating across the board to reach our goals set.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt to write, analyse and understand user stories. I am currently developing and enhancing my skills with AI and how we can apply it best to help our first responders, taking the law, bias and human empathy into consideration when and where we apply it.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

It is a highly skilled programme and the organisation sturcture reflects this.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Support is received in numerous forms from slack channels, wellbeing services, support groups. There is a wealth of information on w3 to search for specific queries. On blue pages there is lists on people whom you can search and find who may be useful. Foundation managers are highly supportive too.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The support is very well given and received. KSB's can be mapped and tailed to ensure you are hitting each and every one, the team is always open to helping expand skills and any knowledge areas, especially if this helps towards the degree.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel very strongly that the degree helps me perform better. There is a vast amount of skills that the degree teaches, when this is then applied to everyday work the learning becomes clearer and therefore enhanced. There are also areas of the degree that are invaluable to everyday work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes. There are no shortage on activities! Whether virtual on in-person. Activities vary from environmental, to cultural to social, charity and more! These can be accessed from slack, events and classes, word of mouth and more. Networking events are very common and are valuable to all members.

IBM is ever changing with the world as we know it, this is how IBM has stayed in business for over 100 years. Learning the core values and being apart of IBMs growth culture is key. IBM has learning platforms and numerous opportunities to take advantage of.
