Management Consultant, to date I have worked doing, Project management and business analyst roles.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

the programme its self is good however a lot of the skills spoken and learnt are not put into context unless doing them as part of my project work. I have used a lot of the skills that I have learnt as part of my program in day to day life so therefore it has been really useful for me whereas some people know don't always use them so it might not be as useful to them

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

lots of new skills, all business analyst skills are new, I have some prior experience in project management however not on as big a scale as I have since joining IBM. I have worked with people that have experience and I have learnt lots from them as well as learning on the job:)
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

very well, it is very clear from the beginning what was expected of me at the end length of my apprenticeship, everything has been give to me in links and has been updated throughout as well as the feedback I get from my written work is very frequent which has made my program length of 18months possible
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I don't receive a lot as this is something I havent asked for, however if I did need the support there are lots of people and channels that I can go to for help if I required it at any point
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

same as q5 I havent received much as I don't need much and havent asked for it however if I did require it is always there to help
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

for the roles that I want to pursue in my career very useful and a lot of the skills that we learn are very transferable so I don't doubt that if I decided to go down a different route then I would be able to use them there too
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I do a lot of networking events, socials with my base location and project team. at my base location we try to do one every month whether that be company organised or through our own friendships and networking that we do

Why?
it is a very big corporate with a lot of different opportunities spanning across different career choices, it is a very friendly company to work for and everyone is always there to support help or just have fun with as well as getting the job done
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to IBM?
be yourself, be open minded and be growth minded. a lot of the work that we do is fast passed and therefore if you are not the above then this company wouldn't be for you however, it is not something that should put you off it is a great company to work for with lots of great benefits that have come into my life since starting work here
