Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
As an Information Security Analyst my role is to help protect the organisation's data, systems and infrastructure. On a day-to-day basis, I promote security awareness training to employees through phishing simulations and awareness articles. I also take part in third-party supplier onboarding process, vulnerability management, policy review, assurance internal audits, PCI-DSS audits, ISO27001 and risk assessments. No day is the same.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the best, I would say an 8. The programme went hands in hands with my day to day work load and help me understand majority of the processes. Vice versa

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
All the skills that I have at present, were learnt with my current employer and I am able to continue developing those skills through more exposure.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The structure of the programme was at a good level in my opinion as I thought a few of the projects were misleading and having to question my DLC at mostly every stage.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I received 100% support from my employer, from a specified day in the week for study and also would give me tasks which went in line with any project I was doing.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My DLC was very supportive and would break things down into simpler terms if it was not understood.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
It put me in a much better spot from when I started and gave me the confidence to work independently.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There might be extra-curricular activities at work but I have not explored that part as yet. When it comes to professional networking events, we are encourage to attend or take part.
