Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role as an Early Years apprentice is to help safeguard children on a day-to-day basis, assess indoor and outdoor risks, and plan activities that support children's needs. I also support children during mealtime and carry out routine physical care needs.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Very well. I get a lot of support and encouragement from my tutor, manager and colleagues

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt a lot about developmental milestones, how to observe children and understand their needs, and how to plan activities that support children's interest.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very well organised and structured. We also have enrichment sessions, and we are giving time for self-study with regular support

I receive a lot of support.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The training provider provided me with resources and one-to-one professional discussions with my tutor. My tutor has also visited my workplace to observe me to see how I have implemented the training that I have received in practice
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It has helped me perform better at work because I can put everything I have learned into practice, which includes legislation, current frameworks policies and procedures
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We have staff meetings and outings for the end-of-the-year celebrations. Not much extra-curricular

Be committed and seek help whenever you need it. Also, do your assignments on time and be punctual at work.
