With my apprenticeship I am able to work with a range of different teams in the Risk Function, allowing me to gain a more in depth knowledge of Compliance and Risk. It has been a good experience and allowed me to develop my understanding of this field.

It has been a good experience so far. I have met and worked with a wide variety of people who have helped me further my knowledge and personal development.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have gained a foundation level knowledge on Finance and Mortgages, and learned how a business is actually run. Prior to the apprenticeship, I had no knowledge of Risk so I have developed a deep understanding of this area of the business in a short space of time.

It's been good. I have spent a prolonged amount of time with multiple teams which has allowed me to truly immerse myself in certain areas and gain a better understanding of the role.

A lot of support. The managers are really supportive and helpful. They take the time to get to know you and will work with you in a way that is suited to yourself.

I had a coach from BPP and they were super helpful and lovely, and responded to my messages really fast.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I think it gave me confidence, now that I have an ICA certification I feel like I have a good grasp on foundation level knowledge.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes, I like getting involved with the work culture and community, such as different networks and volunteering.

Yes
Why?
It's a good company with a good work culture, really developed when it comes to DE&I and ensuring their workers are treated like people as opposed to numbers.

Be personable. As much as it is good to be prepared on the company history and stats, its important to see if your personality aligns well with the companies values too.
