Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I am an Operations Manager within the lending function of our Business and Commercial Banking division. I lead a team of 21 colleagues, who support with obtaining security and lending documentation for BB customers, ensuring the bank are "safe to lend" before releasing money to the client.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
It's been great to learn skills that can easily be applied to your day to day role, and to enhance your skills as a leader. It's also been great to meet and engage with other colleagues across the organisation doing the same programme.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
The apprenticeship has greatly developed my leadership skills, encouraging me to be more confident challenging things I don't feel are right, and supporting my team to unlock their potential.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Frequency of workshops is about right, and we have a well structured support system in place.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Lots. I am afforded my 20% "off the job" time without question, and manage this myself week to week. my team and line manager are supportive of my learning, and often support with tasks / situations that can support me to upskill in a specific area.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
again - lots. We have regular catch ups and they are always there to answer any ad-hoc questions I may have.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
As discussed above - really well.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
