Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I work with in the Early Talent team, where we look after recruitment of Apprentices, Student Placement and Graduate each year. I advertise roles through our website, sift candidate applications, host assessment centres, send offer letters and T&Cs to new colleagues, and help to organise the onboarding process.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Immensely - I have enjoyed new theoretical learning through my workshops, and have been able to put this in to practice in my role. I have been trusted with my own set of responsibilities and feel rewarded and a sense of achievement.

Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very - structure was outlined from the first day, with a workshop timetable for my academic learning, and the flexibility and trust in my role to manage my own time and ensure I was meeting deadlines for both sides of my programme.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer could not be more supportive - I get a lot of guidance and support from my direct linen manager and my team, and the importance of the companies values and strategy is reflected in my role. I feel rewarded and recognised for the work I do.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I have a direct tutor at my learning provider who keeps us up to date with workshops, learning materials, and opens her calendar to support us in any way she can, through group or one to one meetings. The quality of the material we get is excellent.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The qualification knowledge, skills and behaviours we are assessed on are transferable into my role, and I am able to relay real life examples into my Apprenticeship work, and vice versa. They allow me to reflect on the work I am doing and take accountability and credit.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We have multiple network groups which colleagues can get involved in across a range of important topics such as LGBTQ+, Disability Awareness, Women in Leadership, Environment and Sustainability etc. We are also offered 2 paid volunteering days each year to use helping our communities.
