Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
On a day-to-day basis i am getting involved in team meetings where i am interacting with many different people in different roles so i learn a lot about the company and responsibilities in teams. I am given project work which has me testing and developing code and collaborating with other members of my team.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
The work environment at lloyds is really good. Everbody is very helpful and all of the work is broken down into smaller segments and spread out across the team so i never find myself overloaded with too much work and overstressed. However the apprentice provider was a bit unorganised and didnt communicate properly with company to ensure efficient delivery of studying material and work.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
In my time during the apprenticeship i have learnt a significant amount about what the various processes are at lloyds for different projects and specific types of work. I have learnt about the security measures taken to protect data and why it is so important. I have also developed my coding skills and am able to read code better than before.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
At the start there was not that much organisation. I was not given clear guidance on what I am supposed to do, what type of work we should be doing that will let us pass our apprenticeship or how we need to be structuring our write ups to achieve maximum grades and marks. After a few months it became more organised.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
My employer gives me a lot of work. I am having multiple meetings with my manager to talk about how I am doing or if i need any support and talk about any other ways we could get to where i need to be to pass the apprenticeship. the team is also very helpful and always offering help
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
1/5
Not much support from training provider. when we had residential training at a site we had to do we were only sent links to a website that had video lessons to teach us and not much other support. we had a few days of learning with an instructor which were much more helpful but by that time we realised that we had already wasted so much time watching videos that didn't even help much in letting us pass our mandatory exams.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
My qualification will be a stepping stone for me and will give me more opportunities in the future to progress my career. I have learnt some things from the qualification that will assist me in being able to work and do my part in the team and in my company.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are always activities going on. On the company web page there are always alerts of social activities going on in my office where I can go and meet new people or have some fun at. Community and wellbeing is a big part of the company so we are always encouraged to take part.
