Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The programme consisted of presentations from various divisions within the bank, including Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, Global Advisory, Wealth Management and a case study from the Healthcare sector team. Throughout the four days we had plenty of opportunities to speak to bankers across the firm and gain a deeper understanding of the work Rothschild does as well as their rich family history. We also worked on a group project during the programme, which involved evaluating a potential merger/acquisition of two companies, and presenting this on the final day.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
The potential roles available were very clear throughout the programme and we were able to ask questions about the various divisions at the end of each session. Having a buddy throughout the programme also helped gain a deeper understanding of the analyst experience at Rothschild and the culture at the firm.

The programme enabled me to develop my presentation and team working skills through the group project. Our session with Fitch learning also taught us the basics of company valuation.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Highly collegiate, collaborative and inclusive. This was emphasised by everyone I heard from at the firm, which is a testament to Rothschild's culture.
