Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I work as a functional tester and my main responsibility is testing new releases. I also maintain our test repository, I train new joiners and I get involved in several other activities that are outside my role. I have meetings with my team on a daily basis and attend scrum ceremonies, such as sprint plannings, backlog refinements.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
Choosing an apprenticeship has been one of the best decisions in my career. I learnt so much through the past almost two years and gained a lot of valuable skills.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnet a lot of new skills in the testing space through the courses that I attended and through the experience I gained on my day to day role. I developed a lot of soft skills as well, such as communication and interpersonal skills that help me in my role and as a professional.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
In my opinion my programme had a really good structure. I had monthly catch-ups with my apprenticeship coach and learner progress reviews every three months. I also received the schedule of my courses quite early so I knew what to expect in the upcming two years.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I have received full support from my managers, and project leadership.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I received full support from my apprenticeship coach and in general my training provider.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
My qualification is definitely helping me in my day to day role. I was able to apply a lot of the knowledge in my work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
I have been involved in a series of givebacks, such as becoming a buddy to a new apprentice, joining Q&A sessions as a panellist, and sharing my experiences about my apprenticeship at different events. I have joined communities and had the opportunity to work alongside wonderful people outside of my day to day role.
