Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My role involves leading a team, this involves driving business change, process efficiency and best practice. On a day-to-day basis this is very varied and involves problem solving, providing direction to the team, resource and stake holder management.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I thoroughly enjoyed the programme and would recommend it to anyone who wants to expand their senior leadership skills, knowledge, and behaviours. The programme has enabled me to develop both personally and professionally and realise my potential, it has been a great opportunity to study management and leadership methods and practices and has enhanced my understanding and widened my horizons. It has also broadened my network and developed my skills to work with others in similar roles for other organisations, this has enhanced my knowledge and enabled sharing of best practice.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Yes, through my Senior Leader apprenticeship I have learnt a number of new skills and also strengthened and developed existing ones.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The taught modules were well organised and there are a number of resources available as and when required.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My employer was very supportive, sponsoring me and giving me time off to attend lessons and plenty of study time. My line manager was always supportive meeting with my tutor to catch up on my progress. In addition, I received great support and guidance from people across the organisation whenever I needed it, everyone was always willing to support and help me.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
There are a number of support areas on offer from tutor support, learning resources and research materials. The tutors are all very supportive in terms of teaching and additional resources such as extra reading. The university provides research modules and tutorials available to support your learning in these areas. I was assigned a very supportive thesis supervisor, helping me understand the process. You also have a portfolio support tutor throughout, mine was very supportive, giving excellent guidance at the relevant times. In addition, I also utilised the Executive Coaching available, this was brilliant for my confidence and development.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I have developed my leadership skills through this process and learnt so much more about organisations, and how they operate to be successful. I have learnt so much about myself and how to lead teams. As a result, I can bring so much more to my team, my role and the organisation.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes, there are a number of different activities available.
