Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

The programme lasted four days and included networking and skills sessions, a group project and presentations from a variety of current employees from different divisions and seniority levels. In such a short period of time, I was able to get an in-depth understanding of the company, its culture and the Global Advisory division.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

The combination of the presentations and networking sessions with analysts made it very clear how the business operates and which roles are available. Having limited prior experience in IB and finance, the programme was a perfect introduction to the industry.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Besides the technical knowledge developed from the Fitch Learning session and case study presentation, I was also able to enhance my collaborative skills during the group project. The assessment centre workshop also provided great tips for the interview and assessment centre stages.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

All the presenters and analysts were very helpful and informative. The HR team was especially friendly and happy to answer any questions.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

I found the experience very interesting, personal and informative. I also enjoyed networking with like-minded students. The programme definitely exceeded my expectations.
