Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
As a Social Media apprentice, my role is within the EMEA Social Media team that manages the main Inc accounts on social platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok and Pinterest. My day-to-day includes assisting in scheduling content for all platforms, tracking and collating data on post performance, managing various tool trackers and supporting with campaign reporting. I also liaise closely with the US Social Media team.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
To a large extent I have thoroughly enjoyed the programme so far due to the balance of my daily job roles and my qualification course. The environment of social is very fast pace which means I have always been busy learning something new everyday which has made the programme very insightful and fun.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Since working at Christie's I have learnt a large amount of new skills very quickly from professional to personal skills. A few examples relating to my role include an understanding of data analytics, good written communication skills tailored to social platforms and different digital communication strategies. I have also been able to develop good interpersonal and communication skills due to regularly communicating with different colleagues within the business.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The apprenticeship scheme is well structured to provide a hands-on experience with my job roles interrelating to my course perfectly. From the very start it has been well structured from an induction week that gave a good overview of Christie's. My course is also well organised as I have set times every week dedicated to complete my 20% off the job time.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive a great amount of support from my employer. My manager is extremely supportive as I am always able to ask any questions to help further my knowledge and understanding. In my day-to-day I am always guided and I am given the time to complete my off the job training which allows a good balance.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
My training provider has a good support system. I have a 1:1 monthly catch up with my coach to go through my progress of work that is evidence towards my qualification. I have masterclasses and workshops to teach me further knowledge into digital marketing to support me in my job roles.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
My qualification will immensely help me to perform better in my role because the learning areas are exactly related to what I do everyday meaning the knowledge will help me to apply this. My training provider allows me to be given the tools, knowledge and behaviours needed to perform successfully.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Christie's provides a wide range of extra-curricular activities that are a great way to network with others from the business. For example, there are monthly Social Committee activities organised by marketing as fun social activities and within the cohort there are professional networking events as well as exciting social events in London.
