Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role is a business anaylst, and day to day I work in the public sector - working with others to get clearance levels and get them onboarded onto the cluster. I work closely with Project Managers on a daily basis and create professsional relationship witht them which aids my apprenticeship and career growth.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my apprenticeship, I feel I am fully supported by my peers and mentors. I love the freedom we are given with our studies and how it allows for more creativity and productivity within my appprenticship work, but still allows me to have a full time working life.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Since being in my apprenticeship, I've learnt lots of new skills. I have developed my communication massively. My confidence has grown and my ability to adapt to work situations has continueuly grown. My presentining skills have also developed and I feel so much better when i present than when I did at the start.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme is well structured and organised. We are offered lots of support and always have someone to reach out to when we get stuck. We have buddies, mentors and line managers all at the end of our finger tips when we are in need of anyone. It's a great programme to be part of
How much support do you receive from your employer?

IBM are extremely supportive and are always there if you need something. As apprentices we have mentors, buddies, task managers and also our line managers there to support us, we have monthly calls and I always feel like I have someone if I need help or just need someone to talk to.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

IBM is my training provider and they are really supportive, we are given loads of training days to support us through the qualification. Our line manager also provide us with all the advice we need and it's super helpful to have so many resources available to us, which is great.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel my what I cover and learn through the qualification puts me above people who just join the company. I feel equipped and more knowlegable than others beacuse this qualifications gives me so many resources and support. It allows you to know consulting techniques andthe value of IBM that you wouldn't otherwise know.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Networking is endless within IBM. There is never nothing that you can be getting stuck in with. There are groups for every possible thing you can imagine. The community is so diverse it really allows you to feel at home. It's really rewarding to be a part of something so big.

Would you recommend IBM to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Yes, for many reasons. A big on is the sense of community and giveback you can do, it is so rewarding. There are endless oppurtunities and career paths. And you are gettting paid to learn. It's an amazing company and I would really urge anyone to join this community.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to IBM?
Be yourself and be honest on your skill, even if you are worries you lack technically skills, IBM isn't just about computers and being techy, it's so much more than that - you will be given so much support and there are endless amounts of different roles available! Be different don't follow the crowd!
