Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am a non functional test engineer for a bank called CLS. Ona day to day basis, I would carry out daily monitorings working on a PMO team. I would also carry out learning tasks related to my apprenticeships where I would do self studying for example, I have an exam coming up for the ISTQB foundation exam which I am currently studying for.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my programme a lot as there are many benefits to it.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt many new skills. I have been provided with many resources given by IBM such as udemy and my apprenticeship provider - GKA - who have provided me with percipio which has many good resources to hep me learn new things and skills. I have developed my agile skills as well as learning how to improve my communication and time management skills.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

my programme is very well organised and structured as there are many workshops and learning courses which have been set up for me from when i first joined, this has allowed to manage my time well and plan around these dates to book holidays.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I recieve a lot of support from my employer, My manager is also very supportive.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The support is very good, they have helped me prepare for an upcoming exam for a qualification and have also given extra revision sessions if needed.

Why?
Bceause as I have worked in a client facing role from 18, compared to a lot of people my age, I have built experience in a client facing role which has developed many skills and also learnt new skills such as agile working environment, communication and time management etc.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to IBM?
be yourself, be confident and dont be scared of rejection.
