Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
I've worked in the banking and healthcare industry. I'm currently in the healthcare industry where I am working on the financial reporting for a client we work with which is more of an internal role. There is a variety of tasks to do which repeat weekly and multiple calls to attend in order to gain and share information accordingly.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
Enjoy it even though there is a lot of things to do so tend to plan my time a lot more than i expected. Although I already knew what I signed up for so cant complain!

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Absolutely! Especially soft skills such as, communication across various platforms (online meetings, instant messaging, email etc) and various internal and external stakeholders, business acumen, building professional relationships and teamwork. Also learnt so much about banking and healthcare from training provided and working o-the-job.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
I like block learning at MMU so each unit/module is split with 2 webinars, 1 week on campus and then 2 more support webinars. In addition there is reviews about the business portfolio you have to keep up to date every quarter.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
A lot of support, but you do have to be proactive, so part of it is about you reaching out and taking the initiative. Once you do that then the support is endless! Even if someone doesn't know how to help they'll guide you to someone who can help.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
A lot but again it is about you being proactive and setting up catch-ups and sessioons as needed.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
You can apply the theory as soon as you learn it which is brilliant and helped me analyse my way of working which I wouldn't have done as deeply if I didn't do the apprenticeship.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
Yes there's channels for apprentices and opportunities to meet and network.
