Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Support the team in the origination (marketing documents, pitchbooks) and execution (project management and reporting) of ECM projects across Europe. Wide variety of products covered: IPOs, rights issues, placings / accelerated bookbuild offerings, equity-linked products (convertibles, structured equity); industry-agnostic team. Day-to-day tasks include drafting pitchbooks / financial analyses, updating reporting documents, take notes and write summaries of key transaction events for the wider deal team and / or the client.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
High level of responsibility given to interns from day one: I was invited to client calls from the beginning and was assigned challenging and engaging tasks throughout the internship.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Key skills learned include:
-Workload management as we are often staffed on various projects at once, which helps us develop our multi-tasking skills as well as our sense of priorities
-Verbal and written communication: had to interact many times with senior bankers or by email with the client
-Attention to detail when producing deliverables
