I absolutely love my program that I am on. There is great communication betwenn my managers and there loads of help and support from those in the company. If you are unsure there is alwasy someone to ask. The uni also provide amazing support as well. Its so lovely to be able to work and learn in such a supportive and lovely environment.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Since starting in September I have signifiantly developed and increased my skill set. Not only just from online learning given to us or through uni or even through bootcamps but also through the wealth of knowledge others have aquired in my team, through either online meetings or through shadowing projects.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
Intially I was quite confused with how the programme was structured but after lerning and asking more about it I believe it is a very well structured programme. Furthermore both the uni and work are really suportive and will help you to help yourself balance your work and uni studies which i think is fantastic!!
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I recieve a lot of support from my employer both my foundation manager and task manager keep in contact to make sure that I am balancing my work load well. Furthermore there are reviews every couple of months with our foundation mangers to make sure that we are staying on track as well as bi-weekly reviews with my line manager.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
I am very lucky to recieve a lot of support from my training provider. They are very open to us asking questions and asking for extra help and feedback on any essays or assignments that we hand in!! And whilst i dont enjoy everything that is taught, it is taught in a way that makes it fun and intreseting which i like!!
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel that my qualification does really help with my role especially with the skills and knowledge i learn within it its great to relay and see how to put that knowledge into practice which I am looking forward to doing more of that this year, which is really exciting!!
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are loads of fantastic opportunites to get involved with. Whether that be meet ups after work or meet ups at the weekend. Recnetly I signed up to go to see the rugby in may which is super exciting. Alos we get the opportunity to take part in giveback opportunities to help giveback to the community which is fantastic!

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend IBM to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I think I would reccomend IBM to a friend purely because of its awareness and respect for its employees and alwasy wanting to help them achieve their goals and do well which i love about it. I'd also reccomend it purely on its friendly community as well as the different groups you can join, i.e book club!
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to IBM?
Probably just go for it be honest open and be you. Make sure you display all of your skills and what you do outside of work/learning. Ask questions, attend virtual open evenings. The application process is really long but its worth it as there are so many opportunites that are avaliable at IBM.
