Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

The job of a software test engineer is to test a programs or application which is produce for the client. This is to see if the product or application which is produce meet a high standard when delivered to the recipient. eg is it secure, is it user friendly and easy to use. Does it meet the needs with the function provided. This is done by fictional testing and automation testing.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

So far the journey has been interesting i have have learnt new skill and function. such as i have and and still learning and want to learn JAVA and Python programming language and learn more about automation and how automation works. I would want to developed these three skill properly before i move on and explore what IBM has to offer but i cant wait.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

You developed many existing skills as this is a big organisation. you also pick up skill and are given the opportunity to expand your knowledge. such as learn programming skills. How to do automation and Consulting skills. i also have the opportunity to actually go on courses which are approve through the company's portal and learn more courses if i wish in my own time which i find is amazing.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The program is well structure and teaches you a lot and at time it can be overwhelming and to much but it not something which you cannot digest and learn and apply in your career. i feel it has bee well organised so far and that everything has slowly fit into place.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

This is something i am very shocked about how kind everyone is genuinely. The fact that people you contact want to help you which is absolutely great. Everyone wants to help and make sure that you are settling in fine and that you have all the correct tool which are necessary to do you job.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

You have a Foundation Manager and a line Manager who in my journey so far has been extremely helpful to me which has help me on my journey. if i have a problem my Foundation manger will help me resolve it and is always their which i am greatful for
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel it is helping me as i am learning new skill which i am able to transfer in me new job role to understand and developed these skill. This has given me the opportunity to adapt what i have learnt in my taring into my real life situation which are given to me.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

IBM has many opportunity to get involve in. IBM is a big believer of ethical values and has many diversity group which you can get involved in. it has project which if you like can get involve in. it has something called give back where you give back time in doing a good cause for yourself and the company.

Why?
Because so far my journey has been interesting and challenging. i have learnt that the people at IBM are helpful and are willing to help you if you ask. Their is opportunity to develop and build you skills through doing online courses at you own convince and develop your own career path.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to IBM?
Make sure the field that you are applying for in IBM you have an interest in as this will keep you motivated to Lerner and keep you focus on the skill which you need to learn to do you Job collectedly. Be yourself, be honest, focus and kind and polite and you should be alright.
