Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I've developed the skill of public speaking. Once a month I would have to present back to my manager a presentation of an application I have learnt in the month. This really helped me get out of my comfort zone.
A big part of IBM is teamwork and working together with people in teams. This has been a massive skill I have learnt since being here

In terms of the company as a whole, its openness to people from all walks of skillset is something which I really value. In this area, the company did exceed my expectations. And I would go back yes

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend IBM to a friend?
Yes
What advice would you give to others applying to IBM
Be yourself. It sounds very cliche but the truth is they aren't trying to employ the perfect version of you because that doesn't exist they want people who are open to learning and can reflect on where they need to improve. This was what was told to me in my interview as to why I got the role, I was very open to learning.
